Topology in the space-time scaling limit of quantum dynamics

چکیده

We investigate the role of topology in space-time scaling limit quantum quench dynamics, where both time and system size tend to infinity at a constant ratio. There, while standard topological characterization relying on local unitary transformations becomes ill defined, we show how different dynamical notion naturally arises through winding number encoding linear response Berry phase magnetic flux. Specifically, find that presence locally invisible flux is revealed by staircase behavior phase, whose topologically quantized plateaus characterize quenched Rice-Mele model. These jumps are also shown be related interband elements DC current operator. outline possible experimental platforms for observing predicted phenomena finite systems.
